About Mountains

A tourist site is a place people usually visit for pleasure and interest. Although the country may look small geographically, it boasts of many beautiful tourist sites which includes mountains, falls, forts and others.  Mountain Atiwiredu located in the South Eastern Ghana around Akyem Abuakwa. It is also part of the Atewa rage where there is the Cenozoic peneplain making it interesting. The mountain rises to 2539 feet above sea level and is naturally endowed with bauxite for eco-tourism. There is a beautiful scenery and view with beautiful birds like pigeons to the popular bristle bill, blue headed crested flycatcher. Butterfly spices are very rare to find. Tourist sites are many in Ghana and they include castles, museum among many others but I will like to talk about mountains specifically Mountain Adaklu. Mountains are large land form that rises above the surrounding land in a limited area, usually in the form of a peak and has its history and natural beauty.  Adaklu Mountain is located at the foot of Ho (12 km); the Volta Regional Capital. The name Adaklu comes from a myth of the historic Ewe migration from Notse. ‘Tenden’ is the local name for Adaklu mountain which is praised as a traditional God. Ghana is known to have many tourist attractions, such as waterfalls, forests and mountains. Ghana has several mountains but unfortunately just a few are popular even to the citizens of Ghana. Mountain Pakesie Bepo is one of the mountains that doesn’t find itself in the popular group.   Mountain Pakesie Bepo is one of the highest mountains in Ghana. Its best adventure is that it is located near natural basin land structures that make fishing outdoor feel great and this might contribute to why it welcomes loads of tourists.  Tourists get into fishing contests and they end up winning fishing supplies as well as equipment.
